ST. LOUIS • The sun rose hard and glaring on Wednesday, July 14,
1954. The temperature already was 85 degrees at 7 a.m. It broke
100 before noon and kept climbing.

The city's streets and old brick buildings, many with tar-
slathered flat roofs, already were baked by a sudden but
withering heat spell in its fourth day. It was 110 degrees on
Monday, 103 on Tuesday. The forecast for July 14 was 105.

The forecast wasn't even close. By 5 p.m., the official
thermometer at Lambert Field hit a scorching 115 degrees, as hot
as it's ever been in St. Louis in more than 100 years of keeping
temperature records.

On that day, many businesses closed by noon. It was too hot for
the performing elephants to shuffle on stage at the Zoo. Streets
buckled and caved in.

At Sefton Fibre Can Co., at 3275 Big Bend Boulevard in
Maplewood, the attic was so hot that the automatic fire-
sprinkler system soaked employees and equipment. Milkmen drew
mobs of grateful kids with gifts of sparkling ice from their
trucks.

St. Louis Chronic Hospital went through four tons of ice a day
making packs for patients. And at St. Elizabeth Hospital in
Granite City, nurses kept thermometers in cold water, lest all
readings be a standard 105 degrees.

St. Louis Municipal Judge Robert. G. Dowd endured a peace-
disturbance case involving the location of a fan the night
before. "I can understand why tempers would flare over a fan.
Case dismissed," he said.

Air conditioning was in its infancy, costing $200 or more for a
window unit — a hefty hit on $4,000 household incomes. So people
found relief as they could. They jammed theaters that boasted of
being "cooled by refrigeration." They slept in parks and
backyards.

Even with few air conditioners, Union Electric Co. posted a
record output of 1.2 million kilowatts — barely one-fifteenth of
today's peak. Back then, the misery index was measured in output
of water for extra showers, backyard pools and sprinklers. On
the day of the record, the St. Louis Water Division pumped 279
million gallons, more than double today's daily average.

The grim number was the death toll. The heat killed 20 people
that day. A cool breeze that arrived before dawn on July 15 gave
only brief respite. By the time the heat broke one week later,
it had taken 104 lives.

St. Louis and its July heat waves

100-degree temperatures are nothing new for St. Louis in July.
Here is a photographic look back at four of the hottest summers
in the city.

1936: The heat of July 1936 had been withering and deadly,
reaching at least 100 degrees on 18 days. It had killed 332
people by July 30, when cooling breezes soothed raw, sweating
faces.

1954: The summer saw temperatures climb to 115 degrees in St.
Louis. A week-long heat wave beginning July 14 took 104 lives.

1980: Temperatures on July 8 hit 101 and would break 100 degrees
on a withering nine of the next 14 days and reach 107 on July
15, the summer's worst.

2012: On July 8, temperatures drop to only 98 degrees, ending a
10-day run of triple-digit temperatures.

record 37 days of high temperatures of at least 100. A first
wave of heat broke on July 30, but the temperature climbed back
to 100 on Aug. 9 and was that hot or worse for another two
weeks. Thousands of people fled their stifling brick homes and
flats and slept for weeks on the grass in city parks and along
quiet country roads. This family tried to find some refuge near
Lindbergh Road. The heat of 1936 killed 479 people in the St.
Louis area, including 29 children. (Post-Dispatch)

suspended 30-day jail sentences for engaging in sexual conduct
with a dog.

New Philadelphia Municipal Judge Nanette DeGarmo VonAllman found
both women guilty of two counts. A 23-year-old pleaded guilty to
one charge and no contest the other. A 30-year-old pleaded no
contest to both charges.

They were ordered to serve a year on probation and pay court
costs.

Police Detective Capt. Shawn Nelson said video evidence of the
crimes was discovered in the course of the Ohio Adult Parole
Authority's monitoring of a parolee.

Engaging in sexual conduct with an animal is a second-degree
misdemeanor punishable by up to 90 days in jail and a $750 fine.

Bestiality has been illegal in Ohio since 2017.

A Philadelphia-area mother and daughter have pleaded guilty to
killing five family members -- including three children -- over
two days in their apartment last year, authorities said Monday.

Shana Selena Decree, 47, and her 21-year-old daughter Dominique
Kiaran Decree will serve five consecutive life sentences after
pleading guilty but mentally ill to five counts of first-degree
murder and one count of criminal conspiracy, the Bucks County
District Attorney's Office said.

Prosecutors said between Feb. 23 and Feb. 25, 2019, the pair
killed Shana Decree's children, Naa'Irah Smith, 25, and Damon
Decree Jr., 13, both of Morrisville, her sister, Jamilla
Campbell, 42, of Trenton, N.J., and Campbell's 9-year-old twin
daughters Imani and Erika Allen.

"Today, we mourn with the families of Erica and Imani Allen,
Damon Decree, Naa'irah Smith, and Jamilla Campbell, who were all
murdered by mother and daughter Shana and Dominique Decree,"
Bucks County District Attorney Matt Weintraub said. "Were it not
for their severe mental illness, both would face the death
penalty. As it stands, they both will spend the rest of their
lives in prison cells separated from the rest of us, as
punishment."

The deceased bodies were found Feb. 25 in an apartment bedroom
in Morrisville. The twin girls, Decree and Smith were killed by
homicidal asphyxia and Campbell died as a result of homicidal
ligature strangulation, according to an autopsy.

Shana Decree told investigators all five victims wanted to die,
prosecutors said. Several health professionals said both
suspects were guilty but experiencing mental illness at the time
of the murders.

"By murdering, Erica, Imani, Damon, Naa'irah, and Jamilla,
they've decimated entire generations of their own family,"
Weintraub said.

A WOMAN has been arrested accused of arranging to have sex with
a dog to "celebrate" the animal's first birthday.

Police say Rebekah Little used her Instagram page to find an
animal to abuse at her home in Houston, Texas.

In December 2017, she was contacted by Jerrid Cook, who said he
and another man named Kevin Cook would bring their dog, Ryder,
to the apartment to "have fun".

Jerrid said the dog wanted sex with a human "as a birthday
present", prosecutors say.

Court documents say the two men took Ryder to Little home on
Christmas Day, but the pet "was not cooperating" with the plan.

"He was too hyper, jumping everywhere," the documents claim.

Little, a real estate professional, told Houston Police that she
didn't ultimately have sex with the dog because she was too
nervous.

Instead she had sex with Jerrid.

All three have now been charged with bestiality, although only
Little is in custody.

Police have put out warrants for the arrest of Jerrid and Kevin.

Because the two have not yet been arrested, full details of
their alleged actions have not been released.

Texas state law does not require that a human actually has sex
with an animal before bestiality charges can be brought.

It is enough for a person simply to have planned and intended to
have sex with an animal.

It is not clear whether Jerrid and Kevin Cook are related.

Texas only officially banned bestiality in 2017, and was the
last US state to do so.

Three brothers in their 30s are accused of breaking into a
bedroom where a scared 10-year-old tried to escape them before
they held her down and raped her.

Raul and Wilmer Paz-Perez, both 35, and Elder Paz-Perez, 31,
allegedly attacked the child on Sept. 9, according to a press
release from the Kenner Police Department. The siblings live
with the child in a Kenner home, and are friends of the girl's
family, the Associated Press reports.

"All three men were home alone with the victim when they made
sexual advances toward the child in which they offered money for
sex," the press release stated. "The child locked herself in the
bedroom."

While she tried to keep the men out, they allegedly kept on
trying to attack her. Police claim one of the men eventually
"defeated" the lock on the bedroom door and the three entered
the room where they undressed the child. Then, they allegedly
"held her down and sexually assaulted her."

The victim disclosed the alleged rape to a relative on Saturday.
Raul and Wilmer were arrested and charged with first-degree rape
of a victim under the age of 13 the same day. They are being
held without bond.

Raul and Wilmer allegedly gave conflicting statements about what
they were doing at the time of the attack, NOLA reports.

Elder is still at large and wanted. He, too, is accused of first-
degree rape of a victim under the age of 13.

It's unclear if any of the siblings have attorneys at this time
who can comment on their behalf.

Police are seeking info on Elder's whereabouts. Anyone with
information is urged to contact the Kenner Police at (504) 712-
2222 or Crimestoppers at (504) 822-1111.

A Texas couple is facing capital murder charges for forcing an 8-
year-old girl to jump non-stop on a trampoline in 110-degree
heat as a sadistic form of punishment, police said.

Daniel Schwarz, 44, and Ashley Schwarz, 34, of Odessa, were
arrested Monday in the death of the child who was pronounced
dead at the couple's home on Aug. 29 when cops responded to a
medical call.

"Investigation revealed that the 8-year-old child had been
punished and was not allowed to eat breakfast and was required
to jump on the trampoline without stopping for an extended
period of time," Odessa police said in a statement Monday.

The couple — who reportedly served as guardians of the girl,
identified by KOSA as Jaylin — also didn't allow her to drink
any water while she was being punished, police said.

The high temp in Odessa — a city of roughly 123,000 in west
Texas — on Aug. 29 was 100 degrees, KWTX reported. But the
temperature of the trampoline read to be approximately 110
degrees and the ground was approximately 150 degrees, police
said Monday.

An autopsy released Thursday determined Jaylin died of
dehydration and listed her manner of death as homicide, police
said.

Daniel and Ashley Schwarz were not Jaylin's biological parents,
but were the girl's guardians, her relatives told KOSA.

afternoon, the newspaper reported.

Michelle Obama reflected on the "heartbreaking" time when her
brother, Craig Robinson, was accused of stealing his own bicycle
by the Chicago police when he was about 10 years old.

The former first lady, 56, invited Craig, now 58, and their
mother Marian Robinson, 83, onto the Michelle Obama Podcast,
where the trio spoke about police brutality.

One memory that stood out was when a Craig was accused of
stealing his own bike: a yellow 10-speed bike that his parents
had bought for him at the store Goldblatt's in Chicago.

"It was terrifying only because I was always taught that the
police are your friends and they'll believe the truth," Craig
said on Wednesday's episode.

He remembered during the incident two Chicago police officers
stopped him while he was riding his bike.

"This guy grabbed my bike and he wouldn't let it go," Craig
said, recalling that the officers were asking him questions to
purposefully trip him up.

"I was like, 'Oh you got this all wrong, this is my bike, don't
worry, this isn't a stolen bike,' and he would not believe me."

"I was absolutely heartbroken," he continued, "And I finally
said to him, 'Listen, you can take me to my house and I will
prove to you this is my bike.'"

When the cops brought him back at the Robinson home, his mother,
Marian — who "had that tight lip" was prepared to defend her son.

Marian confronted the police officers, who were both black,
about why the kept pressing Craig, and one finally admitted he
knew her son was telling the truth.

Craig called the experience "heartbreaking," specifically
because he felt the cops were trying to "trip" him up when
questioning him about where he got the bike.

Michelle Obama said the incident underscored the reality black
Americans face when dealing with law enforcement.

"When you leave that safety of your home and go out into the
street, where being black is a crime in and of itself, we have
all had to learn how to operate," she said.

State authorities have made an arrest in the long-unsolved
killing of a Minnesota mom — announcing they identified the
suspect through DNA found at the scene in 1986.

Michael Allan Carbo Jr., 52, has been charged with second-degree
murder in the 1986 killing of Nancy Daugherty, authorities
announced earlier this week.

Daugherty, of Chisholm, was last seen alive early on July 16,
1986 and was discovered dead in her Chisholm home that afternoon
by police performing a welfare check, according to The
Associated Press.

She had been beaten and sexually assaulted before she was
strangled, the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension said in
a press release.

Daugherty, a mom of two, worked as a part-time bartender and as
a nursing home aide. The night before she was killed she was out
drinking with her boyfriend, who dropped her off at her house
and was was the last person to see her alive, according to the
Duluth News Tribune.

Daugherty was married at the time, and her husband was overseas
for the Air National Guard. The boyfriend, who was not
identified, was the person who requested a welfare check on
Daugherty after he wasn't able to contact her that morning.

Though DNA was found at the scene of the crime and officials
were able to build a profile based on "bodily fluids found on
the victim," the profile did not match anyone in a criminal
database, the release stated. The case went cold as authorities
worked to interview and collect DNA from more than 100 people.

But earlier this year, Chisholm police approached the state BCA
about submitting the evidence to a company that researches
public genealogy databases. It turned up an apparent match in
Carbo and a follow-up investigation matched him to the original
DNA profile, police said.

However, the identification of Carbo as the alleged killer
raises a number of questions — as he was only a teenager at the
time of Daugherty's slaying and did not know the woman,
according to local outlet WDIO. He wasn't even a person of
interest at the time the mother was killed in 1986.

He did however attend school with Daugherty's children and lived
less than a mile from her house, according to the AP.

Officials praised the arrest after it was announced.

"This is the day Nancy Daugherty's family and all of Chisholm
have waited for over 34 years," Chisholm Police Chief Vern
Manner said Wednesday during a press conference.

"My mom loved to help people," Daugherty's daughter Gina said in

including my own."

Nevada likes whores. Biden is a whore for corrupt money. His
running mate is a whore who uses her stinky vagina for political
advancement.

Brown's partner, Tim Hoeffgen, confirmed to NBC Palm Springs
that Brown died shortly after 3:00 Tuesday afternoon in their
Palm Springs home, not of HIV or AIDS, but of leukemia.

Timothy Brown was living in Berlin working as a translator in
2007 when he was first diagnosed with leukemia. Previously, in
1995, he had been diagnosed with HIV.

During his stem cell treatments for leukemia, doctors discovered
that not only had the leukemia gone into remission, but Brown's
HIV had been cured. It was not until more than two decades
later that doctors were able to replicate a similar treatment on
another patient, curing him of HIV as well.

Five months ago, Brown's leukemia resurfaced. The cancer had
also spread to other parts of his body.

After moving to Palm Springs in 2015, Brown continued to travel
the world in his efforts to advance knowledge of HIV treatment.

Hoeffgen described Brown as "a happy and gentle soul" and said
that Brown's spirit "will live on." '

Brown was 54 years old.

He won't be sucking any more dicks or taking them up his asshole.
