Mischa Barton and U-Haul are engaged in a legal battle stemming from her
infamous 2017 crash and the popular truck company is refusing to give her back
her stuff — and threatening to sell it — unless she pays.
 
Barton and her boyfriend, Adam Spaw, crashed a rental U-Haul truck into an
apartment building on February 11, 2017. According to U-Haul, Barton and Spaw
abandoned the truck and its contents following the crash.
 
U-Haul, per their rental agreement, took possession of the items inside the
truck and put them in storage. Mischa Barton has come to claim her stuff but
U-Haul believes they are entitled to hold on to the contents until she pays up,
which has yet to happen.
 
The company claims Barton and Spaw owe them for the truck rental and the storage
of their stuff — $5,827.65 — and won't release the goods until they are paid.
 
They are suing for the right to sell the stuff at auction if Barton and Shaw

An audit of the National Rifle Association's finances obtained by OpenSecrets
shows the organization's income from dues-paying members has been "plummeting"
for the last two years, contributing to the organization's deficit of $31.8
million last year. Lol!!!
 
This isn't the first hint of legal trouble for the organization: In July, the
NRA claimed in a court filing that it would be "unable to exist" without the
ability to renew its media liability insurance. In that lawsuit, the group
blamed their insurance woes on a directive from Andrew Cuomo's administration
urging financial and insurance companies to cut ties with the NRA.
 
According to OpenSecrets, "one of the biggest drivers of the group's falling
revenue is dwindling dues from NRA members, which fell from more than $163
million in 2016 to $128 million in 2017." The NRA had seen declining revenue
before, but 2016-2017 was "the only period during which dues declined for more
than a single year," the site reported, and the group was simply spending much
more than it took in. Brian Mittendorf, an accounting professor from Ohio State
University, told OpenSecrets the NRA's business model "cannot be sustained the
way it is going."
 
The audit obtained by OpenSecrets showed that just three years ago, the NRA had
a surplus of $27.8 million. As the site notes, the NRA threw tons of money into
election spending in 2016: FEC filings show it spent "at least $51.5 million"
that year, with most of that going to support Donald Trump. This year, the NRA's
election spending has been much lower, even compared to the last midterm year:
In 2014, the NRA had spent $10.7 million by this point, whereas this year it's
only spent $2.7 million. Running out of money much, bitch? No money much?

The NRA has been shoving money at other political causes besides the midterm
elections. In August, it announced it would spend at least $1 million on ads
urging senators to confirm Brett Kavanaugh, providing yet another reason to hope
Kavanaugh isn't confirmed: It would be extremely funny if these indebted
gunfuckers ended up wasting $1 million of money they don't have.
 
Perhaps this financial downturn can be explained in part by the NRA's shift
toward acting like a right-wing media outlet, described by Media Matters as a
"hybrid of Breitbart and Infowars," whipping up fury and fear about all manner
of conservative issues on its insane online TV show. Maybe that's where the
money is these days, except in this case, that money goes toward funding the

2:00 PM PT -- The plea deal was just unveiled in court, and Suge will get 28
years in prison after pleading no contest to voluntary manslaughter. The
53-year-old will get credit for time served -- he's been in jail awaiting trial
for around 3 1/2 years. He'll also be on parole for 3 years after serving his
prison sentence.
 
Knight cracked a joke ... of sorts. Part of the judge's instructions to the
defendant include a phrase about the possibility of deportation following
conviction, to which Suge said, "So, ICE can come and get me." There was a
smattering of laughter.

Suge Knight has struck a plea deal in his murder case ... TMZ has learned.
 
Several sources tell us the former Death Row Records exec will be in L.A. County
Superior Court Thursday afternoon to enter a plea in the murder of Terry Carter.
Knight had been facing the possibility of life in prison, and his trial was
scheduled to begin Monday with jury selection.
 
We broke the story ... Suge ran over Terry back in January 2015 as he fled the
Tam's Burgers parking lot in Compton. TMZ posted the surveillance video that
showed Knight throw his truck in reverse, knock over one man, then drive forward
over Terry ... killing him.
 
Knight had claimed he was not trying to run over either of the men he hit -- but
merely trying to escape because he thought both men were about to shoot him.
 
Suge was arrested shortly after the incident and has been in jail ever since

We have the first daytime syndicated series set for next fall, a one-hour talk
show hosted by former American Idol winner and current The Voice coach Kelly
Clarkson. NBCUniversal Domestic TV Distribution has sold The Kelly Clarkson Show
to the NBC Owned TV Station group for a fall 2019 debut.
 
The show is getting a prime slot on the NBC stations where it will air as the
lead-in to daytime anchor Ellen in all but one market. That is a time period
that had been occupied by a Steve Harvey talker for seven seasons now, first
Steve Harvey and currently Steve.

It is not clear what will happen to Steve, produced by IMG Original Content,
which replaced the Endemol Shine North America-produced Steve Harvey starting
last fall. It is being distributed by NBCU TV Distribution but I hear the
company has been telling stations it would no longer handle it. IMG could take
it elsewhere, and I hear that the company has had preliminary conversations. In
the new incarnation under new ownership structure, Steve, which relocated from
Chicago to Los Angeles, is pretty expensive, which could make finding a new home
challenging, but I hear IMG intends to continue with the show.

We did some research on Thompson, and according to interviews and reports it
appears she is a drummer that performed with Beyoncé as part of an all-female
band. She has also released several albums on her own record label and has
played with The 8G Band on "Late Night with Seth Meyers."
 
She also posted a YouTube video recently talking about "mean" people, and
appears disheveled and erratic.
 
Thompson's request for a temporary restraining order was denied by a judge, most
likely because of the non-sensical rantings about witchcraft.

A top professor at Yale Law School who strongly endorsed supreme court nominee
Brett Kavanaugh as a "mentor to women" privately told a group of law students
last year that it was "not an accident" that Kavanaugh's female law clerks all
"looked like models" and would provide advice to students about their physical
appearance if they wanted to work for him, the Guardian has learned.
 
Amy Chua, a Yale professor who wrote a bestselling book on parenting called
Battle Hymn of the Tiger Mother, was known for instructing female law students
who were preparing for interviews with Kavanaugh on ways they could dress to
exude a "model-like" femininity to help them win a post in Kavanaugh's chambers,
according to sources.
 
Kavanaugh is facing intense scrutiny in Washington following an allegation made
by Christine Blasey Ford that he forcibly held her down and groped her while
they were in high school. He has denied the allegation. The accusation has mired
Kavanaugh's confirmation in controversy, drawing parallels to allegations of
sexual harassment against Justice Clarence Thomas by Anita Hill in the 1990s.
 
Yale provided Kavanaugh with many of the judge's clerks over the years, and Chua
played an outsized role in vetting the clerks who worked for him. But the
process made some students deeply uncomfortable.
 
One source said that in at least one case, a law student was so put off by
Chua's advice about how she needed to look, and its implications, that she
decided not to pursue a clerkship with Kavanaugh, a powerful member of the
judiciary who had a formal role in vetting clerks who served in the US supreme
court.
 
In one case, Jed Rubenfeld, also an influential professor at Yale and who is
married to Chua, told a prospective clerk that Kavanaugh liked a certain "look".

The series of allegations began with a Post report in November, a month before
the special election, headlined: "Woman says Roy Moore initiated sexual
encounter when she was 14, he was 32."
 
But as Kavanaugh's friends spoke out to support him and his accuser Christine
Blasey Ford wavered on whether she would testify against the judge next week,
Moore made his sympathies explicit.
 
"Brett Kavanaugh, like me, has withstood numerous investigations and vetting by

resemblance" between the Moore and Kavanaugh situations — two solid

Remember the other day when Kanye West said he was moving back to Chicago full
time? Well then you must have seen this next story coming: Kim Kardashian is not
moving to Chicago full-time. Shocker.

E! News is reporting that while Kanye is gungho to move back to his hometown so
he can have people lift his ego 24-hours a day without interruptions like other
less-important celebrities being in his physical vicinity, Kim is less than
thrilled. While TMZ says that they already found a house in Chicago, Kim herself
will not be uprooting her life and heading to Chi Town just yet. I think it's
illegal for Kim Kardashian to leave Los Angeles. I think if she left Los Angeles
the GDP would go down 10 points. A source said:

that Kim is "open to having a second home base" in Chicago. They said:
 
"Kim feels her whole life is in L.A., and she isn't ready to make drastic
changes and move across the country… The plan is to travel there back and forth
often, but not be permanent residents. Kanye is planning on spending more time
in Chicago than Kim. This has been a long time coming for Kanye, and Kim is
trying to be compromise and be a good partner. They have just started the
process of looking into buying something."
 
This all sounds like a familiar song to me. A song called "A Prelude To
Divorce". First it's separate houses because he wants to live far away. Then
it's separate holidays because everyone is so busy with their separate lives.
Then it's "We're great co-parents to the kids" and then, before you know it,
we're knee-deep in a Kardashian/West divorce drama playing out for three seasons

Jack Osbourne and his ex-wife each scored a home in their split but it's Jack
who is getting the bigger and more expensive property.
 
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Jack transferred the deed of
the couple's Sherman Oaks home to Lisa. The 4-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom, 2,972 sq.
ft. pad was bought for $1,875,000.
 
Lisa then filed docs transferring the deed of their Studio City mansion to Jack
for him to solely own.
 
The 5-bedroom, 7-bathroom, 5,614 sq. ft. home was purchased by the couple during
their marriage in 2014 for $3,200,000.
 
Lisa filed for divorce from Jack in May following six years of marriage. The
couple shares three kids and Lisa is seeking joint legal and physical custody.
Lisa checked the box wanting Jack to pay her spousal support.
 
The divorce case is still ongoing.

Kim Zolciak is feeling a little lighter! The Don't Be Tardy star confirmed
exclusively to Us Weekly that she recently had a breast reduction.
 
"I went smaller and Dr. [Leonard] Hochstein did them," Zolciak told Us on
Wednesday, September 19, referring to former Real Housewives of Miami star Lisa
Hochstein's husband. "He did my boobs four years ago and I loved them. I just
wanted a cup size smaller. I'm in Miami recovering now. Feeling fab at 40!!"
 
She also teased she "will tell her complete experience" on her podcast, "House
of Kim," next week.
 
The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum shared a photo laying in bed on Wednesday
after her surgery. "Part of the itty bitty titty committee," she joked.
 
Zolciak opened up about potentially getting a breast reduction earlier this
year.
 
"I already called Dr. Hochstein, who did my boobs and tummy a few years ago — he
did my hernia repair and my tummy tuck after that," she explained on a July
episode of her podcast. "I said, 'You know, I feel like I should get my boobs
reduced. They're heavy, my posture is terrible, I'm getting older …. I was
thinking of going from like a DD to like a C."
 
The Bravo star then encouraged her fans to vote for what cup size she should
choose by sharing a poll on her Instagram Story.
 
Zolciak, a mother of six, added at the time: "I did breastfed all of my kids, so
ladies, let's be honest, they were stretched out, loss of volume, pancake
